Hello

Karen Taulbee has worked for Business Interface for over three years. Starting as an Administrative Assistant in the Georgetown, Delaware office, she always knew that she wanted to help people in a meaningful way. Working at Business Interface gave her insight on which direction she could take her talents. She enrolled in the Human Services program at Delaware Tech to obtain her Associates' degree which she completed in May of 2021. After receiving several promotions she now holds a Senior Manager position. She states, "Business Interface has changed my life for the better!"

Ms. Taulbee's passion for serving others has truly shined here at Business Interface. Working with students to help them overcome barriers such as: gaining employment, providing food, shelter, and clothing for their families, clearing their backgrounds, and any emergency need that arose has had a positive impact on her life. She was once where most of her clients are; homeless, sleeping in her car, not having food on her table, living in shelters, and not having a means of transportation to obtain and maintain employment. Because she genuinely believes that having a personal connection with what our clients are going through has helped her serve people, Ms. Taulbee often shares that this job is perfect for her!

Not only are Ms. Taulbee's relationships with the students meaningful, but she has formed many deep bonds with the staff as well. When asked, she had this to say:

"The staff here at Business Interface is more like family than simply co-workers. I say this because we all communicate with one another and make sure that we assist each other when help is needed. We all know each other’s families and when a co-worker goes through a tough time, we all pitch in to help. It is hard to find a job where everyone is a team player so when that happens it makes the job that much more worthwhile. I look forward to continuing to grow and learn more here at Business Interface and further establishing my career. I am also currently obtaining my bachelor’s degree in human services which will assist in my growth. More to come!"
