Janell Johnson

Janell Johnson is the Human Resource Generalist for our Corporate office. As a human resource professional with experience in recruitment, onboarding, employee training, and HR operations across both government and private-sector organizations. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Textile and Apparel Studies from Delaware State University, as well as a master’s degree in human resources management and a master’s in marketing management from Wilmington University. And in her role as a Human Resource Generalist for the City of Chester furthered her vast professional knowledge. During this time also serving as a project leas for an ARPA funded recruiting agency initiative focused on talent acquisition and staffing support.

Throughout her career, Janell has led full-cycle recruiting efforts, managed employee onboarding and workforce initiatives, maintained HR systems and records, and supported process improvements that enhance employee experience. Known for her organization, professionalism, and people-centered approach, she is committed to fostering efficient workplaces while supporting employee growth and success.
